 1. Academic Documents

These are essential for verifying your academic background and qualifications.

  • SLC (School Leaving Certificate) Documents:
      • Marksheet
      • Character Certificate
      • Provisional Certificate
  • 10+2 (Higher Secondary) Documents:
      • Transcript
      • Character Certificate
      • Provisional Certificate
      • Migration Certificate
  • English Proficiency Test Scores: One of the following is compulsory:
      • IELTS
      • TOEFL
      • Duolingo
      • PTE
  • SAT Scores: Optional for undergraduate applicants.

 Postgraduate Applicants:

  • Bachelor's Degree Documents:
      • Transcript

 Bank Balance Certificate: Showing a balance of USD 45-50 thousand to prove you have sufficient funds for your education.

 4. Passport Copy

 Last Address Mentioned Page: The page showing your last known address.

 5. I20 Application Fees

 As per university: Pay the application fee specified by the university you are applying to.

 6. Statement of Purpose (SOP)

 A written statement explaining your purpose for studying in the USA, your goals, and why you chose the specific program and university.

 7. Affidavit of Support

 A legal document from your sponsor confirming they will financially support you during your studies.

 

 After Receiving the I20

 1. Complete the DS160 Form

 The online nonimmigrant visa application form.

 2. Complete the CGI Portal Login

 Create an account on the CGI portal to schedule your visa appointment.

 3. Pay the Embassy Visa Interview Fees

 USD 185 (equivalent to NPR 24,975), which can be paid online or at a NIMB bank.

 4. Pay the SEVIS Fee

 USD 350, which must be paid at least 3 days before your visa interview appointment.

 

 After Obtaining the Visa

 1. Start Your Travel Plan

 Begin preparations for your journey to the USA.

 2. Pay College/University Tuition Fees

 Ensure your tuition fees are paid to secure your enrollment.

 3. Finalize Your Travel Plan

 Make all necessary travel arrangements, including booking flights.

 4. Fly to the United States

 Depart for the USA to begin your studies.
